When principals of The Greens at Cannondale, an assisted living and memory care community in Wilton, Connecticut, recognized that an increasing number of referrals came as a result of information posted on the website, the decision was made for “a total re-do of the site.”
“We opted for a complete update,” said Larry Apple, Vice President of TransCon Builders, Inc., owner and operator of The Greens at Cannondale.
A consultant provided a short list of potential web design firms; meanwhile Apple went online and did a bit of research of his own and found four firms for consideration, including Interactive Palette. Eventually, three proposals were submitted and when all was said and done, the Interactive Palette team was selected based on its own website and sites designed for other clients.
“We were impressed by the work Interactive Palette had done for others and after meeting with Kevin and members of his great team, we had every confidence in their ability to design our new site,” said Apple. “Another bonus was their location in Massachusetts – we liked the idea of working with a New England based company.”
Prominent features of The Greens at Cannondale website include a full gallery of photographs that capture the residential and cultural environment of The Greens; a robust Content Management System to allow staff at The Greens to edit content and upload images; and enhanced Search Engine Optimization to increase traffic to the website.
“Perhaps the most time consuming element was finding and going through photographs and then choosing the best ones to represent The Greens,” said Apple. “Kevin and his team kept pointing us to the right direction during this process, making things go smoothly.”
Content Management System training provided by Interactive Palette was both clear cut and comprehensive, said Apple.
“We learned how to navigate the website and make changes with ease,” he said. “It’s important that we are able to manage the content by ourselves and Interactive Palette made it straightforward for us to do so.”
Feedback on the new website has been positive, said Apple.
“We even had a call from someone in North Carolina who said the new site was impressive and highly informative…you can’t ask for much more than that!”
