Interactive Palette Team Completes 5K Charity Race for Fall River Boys' and Girls' Club

FALL RIVER, MA, ISSUED NOVEMBER 21, 2005. Kevin McNally of Fall River, who runs the West Bridgewater web design/hosting firm Interactive Palette, recently took time off from his duties of creating, hosting, designing and translating web pages for their clients to help in a community event.

Kevin competed in a 5k (3.1 mile) road race to raise funds for the Fall River Boys and Girls Club. In all, 138 people participated in the race, with the McNallys coming in 95th and 96th places, with finish times of 31.04 minutes and 31.21 minutes, in the 9-minute mile category. In all, their participation along with the other runners raised between $2500 and $3000 to benefit this cause.

As a member agency of the United Way, the Boys & Girls Club of Fall River provides a safe and healthy environment for youth during the afternoon and early evening hours. Programs include sports leagues, social activities and educational enhancement opportunities, including tutoring. Open to all youth in grades K-12 from 4:00 pm to 8:00, the club is a positive place for children to spend their out-of-school hours. Hours are extended on Tues., Wed., and Thur. evening from 8:00-9:30 for teens. The club has operated for more than 100 years.

The South Shore Guide Exceeds the One Hundred Business Mark

Since he lived on the South Shore of Massachusetts he decided it would be great to have a place for businesses on the South Shore to advertise their companies and events. Kevin has spent the last year refining the directory and promoting it to businesses on the South Shore.

Low and behold, something has worked! The southshoreguide.net now has over 100 businesses and continues to grow.
